Biography

Thug Life was born in 1992 when 2Pac "Makaveli" Shakur, Randy "Stretch" Walker, and Princess Mel teamed up with Tyruss "Little Psycho" Himes. Together, they laid down the foundation with their iconic track, "Thug Life". As the group evolved, Little Psycho transformed into Big Syke, while Macadoshis & Rated R joined their ranks. Under the Interscope Records banner, they crafted their seminal LP, Thug Life Vol. 1. Mopreme Shakur, 2Pac's stepbrother, later joined the ensemble, solidifying their lineup. During their prime, the original Thug Life engaged in numerous collaborations with luminaries like Live Squad and Tha Havenotz. However, tragedy struck in 1994 with 2Pac's shooting at the Quad Studio in NYC. Suspicions arose, with 2Pac questioning Big Stretch's involvement, leading to his infamous declaration, "Thug Life is dead". In the aftermath of 2Pac's passing, his legacy lives on through his unreleased music, continually surfacing for fans worldwide. In 2019, DJ KING ASSASSIN & DJ GREENGUY discussed their programming endeavors at LA's 98.5 FM, the only station to feature the alternate version of "How Long Will They Mourn Me? (Greenmix)". Their discussions birthed the idea of Eternal THUG LIFE, authorized by the Shakur Estate. Featuring an array of talents including Mr. Loco, NGTL, Candyman 187, Tha Havenotz, and more, Eternal Thug Life preserves 2Pac's legacy for generations to come.
