James Hooper (III) is an independent artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Music began to heavily influence his life around the age of 16 when he saw a YouTube video that made him want to learn to sing and dance. Ever since, he has been working effortlessly to develop his vocal abilities, capitalize on his unique sound, and make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. His sound is defined by his minor key melodies infused with unique ad libs and stacks/harmonies, as well as by his contemporary vocals over contemporary R&B and alternative instrumentals. He is also known for his metaphorical lyricism that he uses to express the emotional experiences he has gone through. He is inspired by artists such as Chris Brown, Drake, The Weeknd, Mario, and various others. He released his debut independent album “My Paradise” on June 30th, 2019, and recently released his second independent album “Elevate” on May 4th, 2019. In 2020, James released his third independent album, titled “Eleven”. Following this album, he released “Decisions”, a five-track EP. He released his fourth independent album and sequel to Elevate, Elevate II, on May 14th, 2021.
