Biography

Sandra Bagarić finished her high school education in Sarajevo. While schooling she recieved awards at singing and flute competitions. She graduated in 1996 at the Music academy in Zagreb, mentored by professor Ljiljana Molnar-Talajić. In 1995 she was awarded the Rector’s Award. She has performed with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the HRT Symphony Orchestra, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Mostar Symphony Orchestra, the HRT Tambourine Orchestra and recorded for many TV stations. She made her debut in 1994 at the Komedija theater singing Henriette, a leading role in F. Albini’s Madam Troubadour. Since 1996 she’s a hired soloist at the Zagreb city theater Komedija where she has performed in E.Kalman’s Countess Marica (as Marica), J.Strauss’s The Princess of Czardas (as Sylva) and The Bat (as Rosalinde and Adele), F. Suppé’s Boccaccio (as Fiametta), F.Lehar’s The Land of Smiles (as Lisa), I.Tijardović’s Little Floramye (as Floramye), J.Strauss’s A night in Venice (as Anina), and in musicals such as Đ.Jusić’s Dundo Maroje (as Petrunjela) and A.Kabiljo’s Who sings means no harm (as Ana) and Jalta,Jalta (as Nina Filipovna). She has also performed at the Maribor SNT in the show White Horse Inn (as Josepha) and at the Split CNT in The Love potion (as Adina). Her concert performances include countries like Croatia, BiH, Slovenia, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, the US (Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii), the Czech Republic, Israel and Japan.
