The Naked Eye is the alias of London-based, French-English and singer-songwriter Frenchie. The Naked Eye offers vivid, nuanced songwriting, steeped in poetic intimacy that captivates the listener with her raw and honest storytelling. Growing up in Grasse (South of France), Frenchie’s inspiration roots from her love for classic singer-songwriters, Jazz, RnB, Soul, Folk, Brazilian and Alternative. The Naked Eye is 1/5th of a female collaborative project Her Songs alongside Emily C. Browning Marie Dahlstrom, Dani Murcia and Emmavie. Based in different cities around the world, connected through Instagram and set to meet once a year to record and produce a record. Their debut EP ‘Lost Angeles’ and most recent ‘Toronto Vol 1’ can be found on all streaming platforms. Citing influences that range from the great singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Nina Simone through to contemporary artists including Nai Palm, Lianne La Havas, Emily King, Corinne Bailey Rae, India.Arie, D'Angelo, Laura Mvula, Jono McCleery, Puma Blue, James Blake, Feist and Bon Iver.
