Retesh Gupta is a American rapper, producer and songwriter. A prominent figure in underground music, Retesh is credited for popularizing the new West Coast sound. 
 Beginning his music career as producer, Retesh started playing instruments at a early age. He grew up in The Bay specifically in South San Francisco, CA. He played the trumpet throughout his time in middle school. He started getting into hip hop/rap music when he was introduced to Logic and G-Eazy in 2013. He had been a fan of hip hip/rap music before but, 2013 is when he truly discovered his favorite genre. 
 He started making music in 2016 when his friend introduced him to a music program called Garageband. He then got his laptop that summer and gave up twice on making beats in 2016. He tried again during the summer of 2017 and figured out how to make beats. He continued to improve and sold his first ever beat in November that same year, which lead to his first producer single in 2018. Retesh is apart of the Pariah Ventures record label as the lone artist since 2020. 
 Retesh currently works a full time job and lives in Los Angeles. He travels around LA, San Francisco and Oakland to pass out CD's and business cards. 
 His influences include J. Cole, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar to name a few.
