Milan Hodovan is a Hungarian award-winning composer, producer, and songwriter of an impressive array of films and songs. He attended the Liszt Academy before embarking on a successful music career. He is proficient in myriad instruments, including drums, piano, percussion, synths, and cello. Hodovan began scoring films at age 17 before attending applied music composition at Liszt Academy. His latest score for the Benő Baranyi-directed romantic comedy, sci-fi, Zanox - Risks and Side Effects was praised among critics and ended in the Hungarian Box Office’s top 10 in the first week. In 2020 he scored the featured-length documentary Hands of God, directed by Barna László, which won the grand prize at the 21st Filmtettfeszt. Hodovan ended with his score, composed for a scene from a Hungarian movie, Kincsem – Bet on Revenge, within the top 10 composers at the 2nd International Pannonia Film Music Competition 2020. Besides, he won the prize for the Best Musical Score at the Eindhoven Film Festival in 2019 for the multi-award-winning short film called Birds on the Catwalk, directed by Andrea Szatmári. In 2022 Hodovan became a member of the alternative-electro-pop band Maluridé as a producer and synth player. The same year, he joined the kristoaf band as a keyboard/synth player. In 2021 he co-produced (with DOÓR) the end credits for the Academy Award-winning director Kristóf Deák’s feature film, The Grandson, with the Hungarian artist OHNODY.
