Acclaimed Melbourne duo Broad Spectrum Placebo are made up of singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist sisters Amoriah Jackson and Tess Jetnikoff. The sisters’ shared love of Pet Shop Boys and Lorn is evident in their buoyantly melodic synth-pop bops filled with hard-hitting bass, tied neatly together with their authentic and raw lyrics reflecting loneliness, trauma, and empowerment. During covid, when so much in the world was on pause, the pair bunkered down to write, record, and produce their debut album - mixed and mastered by Mark Kelson (The Eternal/Lucidity Studios) in his Melbourne studio. Once the music sector re-opened in 2022, the duo got to work touring their highly-anticipated forthcoming album across the state alongside other home-grown favourites including Loose Bricks, and Juno.
