The electronic pop of Grand Yellow is a crystal that is eaten hot. Nicolas Berrivin from Nantes, France, has been shaping this project since 2012. This multi-instrumentalist composer has played in remarkable groups, such as Smooth, of which he is a founding member. The tracks have been playlisted on Radio Nova, Hôtel Coste and one of them was chosen by Luc Besson for the soundtrack of Arthur and the Minimoys. In 2015, he invited the musician and singer Klem H to collaborate on Grand Yellow's first album "La Piscine", released in 2018, on which Aymeric Westrich and the writer Nicolas Rey also intervene, adding his voice to a track with an inner epic feel. The album is rated 4 stars in Rolling Stone and "On My Way" appears on the soundtrack of the HBO Max series "Search Party". "After "La Piscine", the new album offers us a new subtle, free and generous horizon. It is undeniable that this is Act II, the new chapter of a story that takes us on the journey of a new character, like a new stage in life. This new opus with mostly instrumental compositions delivers a sensual chapter, with this particular "velvet" sound. An hypnotic atmosphere, abstract and authentic, rocked by chiseled synthesizers, samples of voices tuned, pitched. After many collaborations, Grand Yellow, inspired, finally takes his place, his fullness. Dynamic, light, this score transpires innocence, beauty and affirmation in the story. We float, weightless, in this abstract and so alive odyssey.
