“ANA MARIA RUIMONTE gives the material much more clarity than most operatically-trained vocalists typically deliver. And she maintains power and edge through many of the melodies’ challenging, rapidfire melismas and ornaments… She sings in character… She reaches for the rafters with arioso power…” New York Music Daily, 2020. I am a lyric soprano graduated from the Escuela Superior of Canto of Madrid in 2006 and a CS Certified Singer 2021. As a president of Owlsong Productions, I released five albums since 2014. My multi-part project "Slavery, Miscegenation and Liberation: The Era of Modernism" includes academic research and a series of collaborations with Cuban composers and musicians. So far this has resulted in the CDs "Sencillamente Martí" (chosen for an award by Fundación SGAE in 2019), "Con Rodrigo en Cuba", and a pair with the Cuban pianist HUBERAL HERRERA (National Award of Music in 2020): "Rosas for Lecuona" and "Africana Soy". I travelled and performed in Spain, Israel, the United States and Cuba, and before that, in France, Italy, Germany and Austria. My mission is to bring to wider audiences the classical vocal music, specially Spanish language pieces, to the world.
