From the East Coast of Toronto, Canada to the West Coast in Los Angeles, California, Gospel rap artist R3fugee (Pronounced refugee) is a part of the local and larger CHH genre. He began rapping at the age of 16, consistently growing from age 18 and has performed at hundreds of venues since. R3fugee has previously been signed to notable groups such as Tate Music Group (Mustang, OK) and Prophecy Records (now in Phoenix, AZ). He's been on multiple tours - both local and international- and has received various awards and recognition for his service from organizations like the L.A.P.D, The Church on the Way in Van Nuys and The American Cancer Society Relay for Life. In addition, he's worked with institutions like the N.A.A.C.P and Penny Lane. Some of the larger names he's opened up for include Brian "Head" Welch (previously from Korn), Israel Houghton and Keno Camp. His unique blending of faith filled, relevant lyrics, with a variety of Hip Hop styles have caused him to be unique in reaching different people groups as a witness for Jesus Christ and as a servant to his local community. With 3 full length projects - Reality Check (2011), Touchy Subjects (2014) and Please Help (2020) - R3fugee continues to make inspirational music as one of his assignments from heaven to reach the lost and serve the found. He's been mentored closely by The Prophet X and E-Stamps. He credits Jesus Christ, his Lord and best friend for all of his success, accomplishments, growth and abilities.
