Born Randyn Alexander Simpson, Xan Rxn was born on May 29, 2002 and grew up in a suburb of Rock Hill, SC. He was surrounded by music as a child, between being raised in the church playing the drums to watching his family sing in the choir. His grandfather has been in a gospel quartet for over sixty years and was a great musical influence for Xan Rxn. Randyn joined a young vocal group of his own at the age of six, developing the star qualities he has today. He started learning to make beats in middle school, but began taking it seriously his junior year of highschool. By this time, Xan started to develop his unique, innovative sound. Xan Rxn and childhood friend, Justin Hood (Hoodrixh), founded their brand Grim Collective in 2019. Now releasing his debut project, “For the Love of Xan” on his 18th birthday, the project features fellow Rock Hill artists such as Hoodrixh, Cam0, Ka$h, 12k.roc, Yung Rude, DeeBlock and Shawn Scrilla.
