Saurav Mandal is an Indian rapper, singer, songwriter, producer and a sound engineer hailing from northeast india, from the city of Guwahati, Assam. He released his first song 'Girl Power' in 2016 on his own youtube channel, after which he got signed for an album project following which he created his own record label, SMrecords(Self Made Records) and started doing music independently . The artist cites a few artists such as Raftaar, Salim Merchant and Russ amongst others as a source of inspiration for his music. The artist has constantly strived to create a unique sound of his own, experimenting with elements of different genres and amalgamating them with elements of various indian sub genres, to bring out a sound that is strongly connected to our roots yet upkeeping with the trends. Every song released till date by the artist is a reflection of incidents he experienced while growing up, of the lives of people around him, things he grew up seeing and he has always tried keeping his compositions simple and real so that people can connect easily to what he is trying to express through his music.
