Born and raised in Western Spain and currently based in Madrid, Ratchet Racer is a voguing enthusiast, astrological mess, businesswoman, internet entity, big a$$ ratchet, countryside chica, e-girl and fitness legend, always temporarily based somewhere. Ratchet Racer is also an artist, singer, songwriter, and producer. She has been active within the world of music since she can remember but she only decided to take her audiovisual project Ratchet Racer into the world in 2019, when she recorded her first songs. Influenced by her life experiences in Spain, France and Chile, Ratchet Racer released her first mixtape in August 2020, Booty Challenge, a polyglot mixture of sounds bringing out a wide spectrum of genres and moods, from cheerful Brazilian funk or highly charged and sensual French pop to naughty old school reggaeton or very dramatic -and Flamenco inspired- trap. Continuously experimenting, Ratchet Racer has ever since released singles, flirting with lo fi bedroom pop reggaeton vibes (Drama Queen), lo fi deep house sounds (E-girl), epic techno tracks (BOSS BATTLE!!) or experimental electronic pop beats (BODY HOT). She has often collaborated with Chilean singer-songwriter and producer Benjamin God, Canadian producer Skinny Local and California-based artist and producer GINGER*, among others. Ratchet Racer’s worldbuilding in relation to her music is ultimately glued on by three things: auto-tune, rebellious joy and what a body is capable of.
