Dwight Rivera is a Los-Angeles based pianist, composer and musical director. As a musician he has toured Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East with a variety of artists. Born and raised in New York City Rivera is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing/Production. He started writing piano music at LaGuardia High School in New York where he was encouraged by teacher Robert Apostle in the New Music Ensemble. This ensemble inspired two things Rivera, a love for working with and supporting singers, and a love for writing piano music. This became a driving creative force in Rivera’s life and has seen him perform with the likes of Linda Perry, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Elliot Yamin, David Hernandez, Ada Vox, Tito Puente Jr and Chloe Grace Morëtz. And in recent years led to his ascension as one of the most prominent and prolific neoclassical composers and pianists in the world. His compositions are enjoyed by millions across the globe daily. Dwight’s piano music focuses on beautiful, elegant melodies accompanied by intimate, peaceful ostinatos that convey a sense of tranquility and nostalgia for anyone who listens.
