Hasse Poulsen is a guitarist from Copenhagen, Denmark. He was brought up in Schools in Denmark, Kenya, England and has studied in Milwaukee, Boston and Copenhagen – graduating from The National Jazz Academy in 1990. Having made Paris his home in 1998 he has travelled most of the world as a musician with his own groups as well as with the Louis Sclavis Quartet and the trio Das Kapital. Coming from a background he has studied composition with Bent Sørensen and also performs as a singer and singer-songwriter. Curiosity and humility is Poulsen's method of meeting the world : Why say something somebody else has already said ?
