Biography

Amani Villa, former known as "Queen Ashera" has been admiring different cultures of the world since she was able to speak. Being born and raised in NYC, you are exposed to different people as soon as you walk out of your home. Having friends from Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, etc., you ask yourself, "what am I?" Although this question is still up for runs, the music has always impacted her regardless if she understood the words or not. From Reggaeton, to Reggae, Bollywood to Bachata, it was programming her mind day after day. She would watch shows in different languages just to listen to their music and observe their culture. She released her first song, Endorphins as "Queen Ashera" in 2016. It was a track that flowed like the wind and moved like calm waters, and the music video was immaculate. It pushed her to get out there. Her second release was Sauna, both on the platform SoundCloud. Afterwards, performed an unreleased song "Sundrum" all over the city of Atlanta for a year to gain recognition and popularity. Two years later from her last release, she is rising out of her hiatus and is releasing "Coca" embodying spirit of growth and understanding she had to go through to get to the next level. Not only the next level of music status, but of herself. Coca gives off a reggae mixed with soca vibe, with a perfect splash of trap. Yet, the vocal swagger gives off a sing/rap flow. Coca is definitely its own sound, and we cant wait to see what's next from her!
