Sri Brunthan Shanmumugaragavan is well known as Brunthan Raghav, was born in the northern part of Sri Lanka, Jaffna . He hails in the family of music vidwans, the much eminent, the significant carnatic vocal vidwan “Isai Pulavar” N.Shanmugaratnam who is, his grandfather. His grand father, the Vidwan has massive knowledge in Hindusium, Tamil and music in his motherland as well as in the neighboring countries. This young energetic personality is an exceptional leading Tamil artiste, father “Kalachoodamani”Mr. S.Shanmugaragavan is a brilliant outstanding carnatic and vocal scholar who has achieved and contributed immense albums and music compositions to the music lovers in Sri Lanka and abroad. Brunthan Raghav has a large family of three sisters, Ananthan Sujalini, Sivanujan Jeyaranjini, Kanthini and twin brothers, Sri Jeyanthan and Sri Vijinthan. His mother Tharmakularani Shanmugaragavan who is a conservative Tamil devoted mother who had the wide capability of supporting these talented musicians to achieve their objectives Brunthan Raghav being born in a much cultured sophisticated family, this young lass has inherited the music talent from his father and his grandfather. He began his career in music composition in the year 2003, and released the first music album “Thuligal” and massive hit in Srilanka and abroad.
