Born and Raised in the Dutch Countryside it comes as no surprise that Jolien developed a love for Country music. She got her first guitar at the age of 11 and found the thing she loves most: writing songs. Inspired by artists such as John Denver, Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, Jolien was slowly finding her own voice and writing style. During the last years she performed with various well known artists in the Netherlands. She sang in theater shows of Karin Bloemen and performed on the Uitmarkt in Amsterdam after following her talent program. She also performed with singer/songwriter duo Elly & Rikkert, toured with Trinity on their Christmas Stable tour and shared a stage with the Kik and Boudewijn de Groot in Ahoy during their tribute to Boudewijn tour. After all these adventures she’s now ready to share her own songs, starting with her first single: We Are the Dreamers.
