Biography

Bay Area rap artist, member and founder of the rap group Darkroom Familia. Duke started rapping in 1984 and started his own record labels "Hoe Dog Records" in 1988 followed by Darkroom Studios. He has produced and appeared on some of the most influential Latino Rap albums of all time including Temporary Insanity, From The Barrio With Love, Veteranos, Penitentiary Chances, Family Reunion, Brown Area and North Pole compilations. His solos include 1995's TO LIVE AND DIE IN THE BAY, 2000's KILL THEM SLOWLY, 2001's A GIFT BEFORE I'M GONE, AND 2020's THE DARKEST HOUR. He is also the writer, director of the highly successful I GOT FIVE ON IT comedy movies as well as the Latino favorites BLOOD AND TEARS, VETERANOS, SMILE NOW CRY LATER, PENITENTIARY CHANCES, DRUG LORDZ and THE DOPE GAME.
