Jerrol Jones, born November 8th 1989 would quickly grow to be known as “ Yung Filthie ” for his lyrical abilities to rap with the best of them. While still maintaining status and image in one of Denver’s most notorious “East Side” neighborhoods. Even if you didn’t know him by name you knew him by his reputation. Yung Filthie lost his father to street violence leaving his mother to raise him, his older brother and sister alone. At the age of 6 Yung Filthie was moved to Detroit, A city known for its musical influences and diverse talents. It was here there where his love affair with rap began. Yung Filthie fine-tuned his art of bringing attention to his surroundings and situations through his music. By age14, Yung Filthie was ready for a whole new audience. He began participating in street rap battles in Detroit before moving back to his hometown in Colorado. Yung Filthie took what he had learned about setting up bars and lyrical delivery and shared it with his friends. Practicing would get this young thug ready for some of his most important battles on and off the streets. For Yung Filthie it didn’t matter if he was delivering dope rhymes or just dope, either way you were guaranteed a good product! While his heart and loyalty always remained in the streets, he soon realized that he has something that could take care of his family in a way that the street life could not. He has grown to be someone we want more from both on and off the mic!
