Relaxing on the sunny beach of Point Loma, CA, Dre Da Kingpen, decided to dive head first into the overcrowded arena of rap. He began his journey in a local rap group called "Loose Anxiiety" that was quickly taking over the young rap scene in San Diego. Shortly after, Dre found an interest in CHH. In his pursuit he produced songs like "Go Hard", "Stop, Drop N Roll", and many more. He soon changed his name from Dre Mackin, to what he became known all over the world as Dre Da Flame. Quickly rising, he was being booked time and time again up and down the coast of California. As Dre Da Flame, he not only appeared on BET’S 106 n Park. But he ended up winning the Wild Out Wednesday competition with hosts Terrance and Rocsi. Which led to nationwide recognition. He also appeared in videos with other CHH artists such as LeCrae and even had the late west coast rapper Bad Azz appear in his music video "Wrong Idea". Which was a remix of the original version by Bad Azz himself. However, after taking a little break from rapping Dre was back on the scene. This time there was something different. During his time away from the music industry he rediscovered himself, and after long thought decided to return to mainstream music. Dre Da Kingpen was then born. A creative name that sheds light on his love for great penmanship. Since then he has been producing high energy music. Releasing songs like "The Type You Need" and dropping classic albums such as "We Workin" with his rap family LXMB.
