2024 sees the Bedford-born electronic music producer & DJ entering into his breakout year with his party & label, Club Attacca. Sam Girling's work treads the blurred lines of euphoria & emotion, whilst remaining true to its principal place of listening; the dance floor. The release of his debut EP in 2022 was hotly tipped by the likes of 6 Music's Lauren Laverne & Radio 1's Jaguar, along with Future Artists’ Jack Saunders. But it wasn’t until 2023 that he seriously began to turn some heads with his viral weapon, Ankerklause (Is The Feeling Only Strong?), which was crowned a Future Dance Track ID on BBC Radio 1 and amassed over a million streams. Taking the leap from label to label-party in March 2023, Sam held the first Club Attacca event in his nightlife-neglected hometown of Bedford. “Attacca acts as my own paradisiacal world.” The DIY party has since expanded to Liverpool and London. By the end of the calendar, Sam’s (mainly unreleased) music was firmly cemented on dance floors around the world, with continuous spins by Young Marco, DJ HEARTSTRING and Palms Trax - to name a few. Fast becoming a breakout name for 2024, the 24 year-old’s year started hotter than ever with a closing set at London’s FOLD, handpicked by Young Marco himself. The momentum is only set to continue with highly anticipated releases and shows lining themselves up for the rest of year.
