Biography

Described as a 'force of nature' in her Carnegie Hall solo debut, Tamar is an Israeli cellist, composer and improvisor based in NYC. Praised for her unique and deep sound, playing her own compositions, Tamar is one of the most unique voices in the NYC cello scene. After she begin composing her own music in 2022, Tamar was invited to perform her own compositions in Carnegie Hall, The Cello Biennale Festival in Amsterdam and was featured on the Young Artist Showcase of WQXR, New York public radio station. Tamar received a certificate of honor from maestro Zubin Mehta and the Buchmann Mehta School of Music for Outstanding achievements in the orchestral training program of the school in cooperation with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. ​ https://www.tamarsagiv.com/
