Pepper Gomez is a Chicago House vocalist, lyricist and poet who was part of the birth of the genre in the 1980s. Winning the Columbia College AEMMP Student Record label contest with a remake of "Pushin' Too Hard" resulted in her first release (1984) and an underground club hit under the band name Master Plan. She then went on to legendary House Label, Sunset Records where both Master Plan's "Electric Baile" (1986) and Matt Warren's "Way To My Heart" (both released in 1986) went on to chart on Billboard Dance Charts. She has recently returned to the arts and can be heard singing on Matt Warren's Music Is My Life album, Wake Up! Music's DJ Wall of Sound, AFTR and other international and Wake Up! Music releases. Pepper Gomez sings by invitation only because producers keep asking her and because she loves to sing and write vocal melodies and lyrics.
