Embracing the thriving techno scene around him. Manchester-based artist, Lewis, shapes and performs a unique style of melodic music through the blend of tranquil arpeggio patterns above contrasting and dark, powerful kicks. Lewis gained a valuable understanding of music theory and composition, supported by his music studies. These foundations allow his productions to take a range of forms and provide the basis for his variant chord progressions and lyrical melodies. The music naturally lends itself towards a melodic techno feel, largely inspired by artists such as Mathame and Tale of us who have inspired and influenced many of Lewis’ creative ideas. Whilst studying Creative Music Technology at The University of Salford, Lewis gradually discovered a new passion for electronic music through the experimentation of synthesis and working with a wide range of Studio Equipment. Influenced by the thriving techno scene in Manchester, Lewis sought out a way of performing these largely electronic studio productions as a live performance, drawing from his previous experience as a traditional instrumentalist. By merging conventional instrumental performance and technology, Lewis has created an immersive, multi-instrument performance enabling him to play his atmospheric and high energy studio productions in a live setting.
