Hailing from Memphis’s Whitehaven neighborhood, artist Jai Musiq blends an impressive repertoire of skills for a lush musical soundscape filled with diverse inspirations. Driven by his mother’s penchant for music, Jai initially fell in love with sounds at a young age and joined the local church choir where he honed his singing ability. Music has always played an integral role in Jai’s life, even from the toddler stage, where he impressed friends and family with his tiny piano skills and fervor for musicality which grew into joining the band once in middle school, further sharpening his burgeoning musical ability. He took that intense dedication to band all the way from middle school through his college days at Morehouse.
