Marlie is pen name for songwriter and vocalist Charlotte Haining, who created her alias as she moved away from her work within drum and bass to concentrate on songwriting for artists. Charlotte’s work in DnB has earned her regular support from BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra with DJ Mag particularly making note of her ‘dew drop soul vocals from the top drawer’. Her vocals have featured on labels such as Ram Records, Monstercat, MTA Records, Shogun Audio and Spearhead Records. She’s collaborated with Hybrid Minds, Friction, My Nu Leng, Brookes Brothers, Bcee amongst many others. Charlotte has performed live at many reputable London venues such as Fabric, Printworks, The Egg, Fire & Lightbox. Charlotte has also performed along side DJ’s across Europe at festivals & clubs such as Let It Roll (Prague), Dreamland (Bremen) & Paradiso (Amsterdam) as well as on European radio. After moving to London in 2016, Charlotte met her manager & started working with pop writers/producers. Sessions became frequent, and within six months she was working with established writers, producers and signed artists. In 2018 Charlotte met and started working with upcoming electronic artist/producer Haides, through mutual management. A successful week in the studio together transformed into a creative project that would become Majestic Minds. Together they created a quality body of work that would soon become their debut EP. The first single release ‘Oxygen’ is out August 24th, featuring Marlie’s vocals.
