Now taking the U.S by storm, is hip-hop's newest artist, Skar, and is being recognized by industry professionals referring to him as "different breed of Latino MC" according to OTH magazine. Skar was raised in Inglewood, California, where he was influenced by hip-hop at age 12 and build a lengthy crimal record before the age of 18. Music started as a way to escape the realities of poverty. With a single mother working two (2) full time jobs, also made it easier to spend time with local gang members, which caused him to spend most of his younger years incarcerated. Facing a juvenile life sentence, in California for attempted Murder, planted the seed to take music seriously. After being released and sentenced to 3 years probation, Skar, was arrested repeatedly for probation violation shortly after his release. Skar was granted an early release under the terms of being banned from the state of California for a maximum of 7 years and placed under his mothers custody who was living in Indianapolis, Indiana. Finally at age 21 after being homeless, multiple arrests, near death experiences, and seeing almost everyone around him pass away or head to prison, due to the Mid West drug culture, he decided to pack his bags and relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada where he signed a deal with Rowdoggs Entertainment. Following the released of his first mixtape "Your Connect" it was presented with the "2014 Mixtape of the Year" by WCHHA and has managed to get reach over 1,00,000+ online streams.
