Kari Sál - Singer, songwriter, composer. Born in the mountain forest, raised under the wild sky, molded from brittle leaves.Kari Sál's music is a rencontre of worlds at the meeting point of jazz, indie pop and Lemkos sounds reaching her deep roots. It's the subtlety of a butterfly, impetuousness of the wind and the vastness of the mountains. The Butterfly album is a personal story of a journey lasting several years, in which bumpy, dark and winding roads coincided with the most beautiful and colorful ones. It's a story about searching for oneself, female strength, maternal perseverance and artistic maturity. It shows the life cycle of a butterfly as a metaphor for human journey. The album is divided into 4 periods referring to the successive stages of the butterfly's metamorphosis, which in its final form survives only a few days. The combination of the warm voice of Kari Sál, the unique Renaissance violin of Adam Baldych, the jazz section with the virtuoso playing of Jacob Karlzon and spatial guitars is a lush meadow of sounds that will awaken every inner butterflies. Kari has given performances in Poland and abroad (Berlin’s RadialSystem V) sharing the stage with such an artists as Verneri Pohjola, Helge Lien Trio, Adam Sztaba, NOSPR.
