Being introduced to the guitar by his older brother John at the age of eight opened up the whole creative world of music and its beauty in the subtleties of communication and expression for now-veteran American fingerstyle guitarist Peter Lainson. Exposed to a wide variety of musical styles from an early age, he draws from elements of classical, jazz, blues, folk, fingerstyle and new age in his compositions. 
Peter has been a songwriter/composer for over four decades and is currently releasing new singles worldwide every 3 to 4 weeks. 
He has found success in licensing his songs for syncronization to TV and film with placements from The History Channel, HGTV, Anthony Bourdain, Martha Stewart and Animal Planet. 
His releases are solo recordings as well as collaborations with other composers from England, Sweden, Canada, Norway, Oklahoma, Switzerland and Hawaii; several of these compositions have received Spotify editorial placements including Sweater Weather Instrumentals and Fireside Acoustic, resulting in listeners all over the world.
