Born in 1996, Nanni Gaias is an Italian musician, adaptable and multi-faceted drummer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer and arranger. Based in Sardinia, he works in Berchidda, where he lives and records daily in the studio. Its sound embraces the variety of black music, starting from the origins of blues, funk and jazz, to its most recent derivatives. Gaias’s debut album, “Nanni Groove Experience VOL I'', came in 2018 at the age of 22, composed, played and self-produced, it’s been introduced at “TIME IN JAZZ”, a jazz festival held every year in Berchidda and directed by Paolo Fresu. In the following two years, he returns to the Festival, not only as a musician but also as art director of the "Time After Time" night festival, promoter and backing band of a different artists each evening, accompanying with his band and performing in various styles of music. “Apriamo la Danza” released the 29th June 2020, divulging a message through his music, hope for a generation to live to unify and not to divide. In January 2021 Gaias joined Paolo Fresu's record label, TûK Music, publishing his second album "T.O.T.B." beside Giuseppe Spanu; a passionate duo, who created a miscellaneous project between ambient, jazz, R&B and ethno beat. He has also produced different projects and mixed for different artists. The latest remix, out now, is “THIS IS NOT AMERICA” for the album “HEROES - A TRIBUTE TO BOWIE” by Paolo Fresu.
