Old Capital is based in Le Mans, France, created by Judi K, a musician and sound technician working since the late 90’s. Today principally dubplate mixer for several selectas and sound systems, he started his musical Journey in local reggae bands between 1995 and 1999. When he discovered the sound system business, he started to buy a tape recorder and a microphone to record the singers around him. Some small amount of cds first, burnt one by one with some small means, then some good connections with some sound systems and labels like Sound Dynamik, Broken Stick or Irie Ites gave him the idea to create the label. As he was living in the old part of the town came the name Old Capital. Then he released some 45 and 10 inch, worked with several labels as an ingeneer or riddimbuilder, which made him make a break with label before starting again in 2017 with the Ep «King Kong in the Old Capital ». Then Judi K released several series on the digital platforms, and some video freestyles with many artists that you can find on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. Log on and enjoy!
