Stefan de Koning is a melodic & tech producer and DJ from Groningen, The Netherlands. Throughout the years making his mark on the melodic scene with performances at Amsterdam Dance Event, Nazomeren festival, Promised Land, WILDERNIS, Graanfabriek Defqon-1 festival to highlight a few. Music has been an integral part of Stefan his life since an early age, going all the way back to the days when music was played on the cassette record players. De Koning started rocking in bands and it became clear early on, that Stefan was going to pursue his future in music. Starting out experimenting in the studio with some of his close friends, it did not take long before Stefan started producing properly and dropped his first record “From the Deep”. Next to his studio work, De Koning found himself attracted to mixing music on stage, which woke up the DJ in him. His career kick started at the local club ‘Subsonic’ in Groningen, where he started playing often until eventually, he got invited to be a resident DJ at the venue. Providing him with the perfect soil to lift off his own events, such as ‘Confused’. Since then, he has been involved in a whirlwind of gigs in Simplon, Em2, Club Magistrat, Pand48, became resident at the WILDERNIS events, while being on stage next to artists like Worakls, Joris Delacroix, Joachim Pastor, Mononoid, Solee and Eelke Kleijn. Spreading his hypnotic and gentle musical magic, taking the audience with him on a journey between melodic techno and progressive.
