Peter Thoms is an Australian musician and composer resident in London known for playing electric trombone for the synthpop band Landscape. He was also active with Latin funk band Spiteri playing and recording with Jorge Spiteri, Richard Bailey & Guy Barker. Landscape built a following through live shows and released their debut album in 1980. Their next album in 1981, From the Tea-Rooms of Mars...to the Hell-Holes of Uranus led to the Top Five U.K. hit "Einstein A-Go-Go." After their third album in 1982, Manhattan Boogie, Landscape disbanded. Peter went into session work, appearing with various artists, including Kylie Minogue, Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner, Beautiful South, Jools Holland, Roger Waters, Pete Townshend, The Creatures (“Right Now”), Swing Out Sister (“Breakout”), Beautiful South (“You Keep It All In”), Midnight Oil (“Power & the Passion”), Hi Tension and Midge Ure. He toured and recorded with the Boomtown Rats and appeared with them at Live Aid. He also contributed toThomas Dolby's 1984 album The Flat Earth and toured with Dolby that year. He served as Co-MD on the iconic black gospel TV show “People Get Ready”. He toured Japan and the USA with Japanese band Dreams Come True . After serving as a Sessions Official at the Musicians' Union he returned to writing and recording and producing. He has released 4 albums with Venezuelan guitarist Micho, plus “Jazz Emotion” with Noel Robinson. Peter is a director of PPL.
