InDifferent to rules and style constraints, New Zealander InDifferent's tunes and mixes draw on a variety of eclectic influences and unusual rhythms. Unashamedly dancefloor oriented but at the same time experimental - Dub, Hip-Hop and Soca are all thrown into the melting pot with a healthy dollop of breakbeat and the results are playful and full of character. After carving a spot in the footwork/juke scene with his 2014 'Leaving Lately' EP on London's Modern Ruin Recs, InDifferent's development of halftime D&B riddims and 160 footwork saw regular invites for guest mixes and growing attention from the flourishing halftime scene. 2015’s 'Cardboard Refuge' EP on US label Free love Digi didn’t fail to deliver, offering a funky take on the breakbeat forum and halftime sound, turning heads and getting major support across the scene such as: Om Unit, Moresounds, Hyroglifics, Doc Scott... Never limited to one genre, his 2017 ‘Hip Hop Will Incarnate’ release saw a mash of Hip Hop references, halftime and breakbeats cooked together to serve such classic tracks as ‘Rescue Me’ and ‘Losing My Focus’. After taking a break to focus on raising a family, InDifferent returns to production in earnest in 2022/23 with the upcoming release of his ‘OLIOS” Volumes. With each volume exploring a different tempo and genre, this behemoth series is a reflection of his constant desire to push his sound into different forums and combine various elements of styles to create new realms of music.
