Born and raised in Venezuela, Elizabeth grew up surrounded by a rich musical AfroLatin music (Such as joropo, tambores, salsa and merengue) which she loved to dance to. She took lessons in piano, classical guitar and cuatro and took part in many musical events at school. Her father and mother were music lovers with a variety of records at home, from Lebanese folk to The Beatles and Bach. Before finishing a Modern Languages degree, Elizabeth embarked on a journey to UK, her father's land, and in 2003 took up a degree in Ethnomusicology at SOAS, where she focused on the music of the Middle East and percussion. Since graduating in 2006, Elizabeth has developed her technique and scope through playing with various artists including London Gypsy Orchestra, Khyam Allami, Ahmed Mukhtar, Olcay Bayir, Amira Kheir, Karama, Maya Youssef and many more. She has also taken an interest in teaching music through movement and so did a two year course in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and particiapted in many "Body Music" workshops. She is a Drum Circle facilitator and Middle Eastern Percussion teacher. She currently gives Sound Healing treatments at her home studio.
