Jezyel is a Spain-based, Mexican urban artist born in Chihuahua who blends a broad set of sounds and ideas into his music. Drawing inspiration from artists like C. Tangana, Peso Pluma, The Strokes, and Bad Gyal, his songs speak about everyday life, personal connections, and memories, shaping a sound that is both universal and personal. Jezyel’s musical journey began in his hometown when he started to play the guitar at the age of 14. He joined his first band, Fahrenheit, and played classic rock and hard rock covers. With his second band, The Rubbles, at 16, he began writing and playing his first original songs. His creative mind would then flourish in a third and final band, Hoaxes, leading him to explore different paths. His move to Spain at 23 proved to be a defining turn in Jezyel’s career. He took an interest in urban music and began a solo career, blending his previous rock influences into a fresh sound, introducing elements of reggaeton, trap Latino, and other Latino and Spanish urban sounds. His lyrics speak on the highs and lows of life, touching on the struggles of sadness, anxiety, nostalgia, and the joy of small things. Escaping from the usual stereotypes of urban music, his music connects to the struggles of common people, reminiscing about the beauty of past days, the value of friendship, and the profound insight of friends. In 2024, he signed with Rexius Records, ready to share more of his unique sound with the world.
