ix is an eighteen-year-old alternative Soul and RnB artist who produces, writes, records, mixes, and masters his music from his childhood bedroom in Birmingham, UK. Blending the conventions of modern alternative Rnb and Soul (Steve Lacy, Thee Sacred Souls, Q) with inspiration from mainstream artists such as Daniel Caesar and The Weeknd, ix’s sound is ever-evolving, with a heavy focus on live instrumentation, cathartic lyricism and impactful melodies. He takes utmost care with his songwriting, aiming to convey his own emotions in a way that is both raw and relatable, yet new and ear-catching to his audience. He enjoys offering his audience unique approaches to common emotions and sentiments. Moving forward, ix plans to release ‘FALLING IN LUV!’, a dreamy Alt-RnB love ballad on July 21st, before hosting his third Birmingham headline show with best friend and frequent collaborator Balli at The Night Owl (250 capacity), once again through his promotion company ‘Cosmos’ on August 1st. After moving to London in September, ix hopes to further his musical career, and has a strong desire to let his creativity flow into other artistic endeavours such as fashion, directing and photography.
