The Britten Youth String Orchestra (Britten Jeugd Strijkorkest) was founded in 2007 by conductor Loes Visser. It offers young talented violinists, viola players, double bass players and cellists from the east of the Netherlands the opportunity to develop their musical talents to the highest level. Our motto is: quality, warmth, inspiration and fun. There is close collaboration with the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle, where weekly rehearsals take place. The orchestra gives many concerts and goes on tour every year.
