Biography

King Myles is an experimental hip-hop artist hailing from Milwaukee, WI. Myles’ signature sound is a blend rooted in golden age rap with an alternative rock influence, simmered over a contemporary flame. With a formal education in music including classes at the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), music has always been a lifelong pursuit for this family man and father of three. The kid who spent over a decade releasing tracks across the Wisconsin scene has since evolved into a prolific songwriter, composer and creative mind. As the subject matter in his material has matured, it’s become more relatable, impactful and profound. Following his debut album “Horizons”, K. Myles has released a slew of solo and collaborative records. Among them is 2019’s “Hiii Times 3” EP and subsequent single “Christian Yelich”, the official postseason anthem of the Milwaukee Brewers, as voted on by the fans. The “Artist of the Year” finalist has opened for notable acts such as Afroman, Bizzy Bone, Mike Jones and Coolio, in addition to headlining sold out shows at both Cactus Club and The Moon Room. In 2020 after being forced to cancel an upcoming tour due to the global pandemic shutdown, Myles switched gears, utilizing this period of time to refine the creative process. Now, his forthcoming album Virtual Recluse (VR for short) promises to be a pivotal, transformative record and most genuine representation to date. The project is slated to be released in the summer of 2023.
