Nilson Silva born & raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands is a Dutch Singer with Cape Verdean Roots. After getting his Bachelors Degree in Internatonal Business in 2009 he joined the choir in his church In Rotterdam and that’s when his musical career started. He soon became the choir director and he got to know many musicians that each have had their own great musical careers too. He soon started getting different young musicians together and combined them with the musicians his father played with and started performing Mornas & Coladeiras. One thing led to another and soon he caught the eye of Cape Verdean Diva Dina Medina, who gave Nilson a chance to start singing background vocals for her. Things took a faster turn when Dina Medina introduced Nilson to other musicians to do his first background gig in a big show with artists like Grace Evora, Zeca Nha Reinalda, Boy Ge Mendes in 2011. Since then Nilson has done live background vocals for all of his favorite Cape Verdian artists that performed in the Netherlands, such as Sara Tavares, Cabo Verde Show, Lura, Jorge Neto and many others. In 2018 he got in contact with Mr. Ray Bass who is the band leader of Kizz Me, an all-star kizomba based band that mixes kizomba, konpa ,semba and afro-beats and Nilson started performing with them. During the quarantine period in 2019 they started recording original material and their first single “Solve it” ft Nilson & Mr. Ray bass was born. Solve It was released on February 25th 2022.
