This year sees the return of DJ and producer Jim Rivers, back in the studio after a lengthy hiatus. With previous releases on Bedrock, Global Underground, Renaissance and an album on Carl Cox’s Intec label, Jim’s back catalogue is awash with musical variety, all made with depth and warmth few can match. Featured in the highly acclaimed Nu Breed series on Global Underground, alongside remixing a wealth of artists including Quivver, Laurent Garnier, Deadmau5 and Photek, Jim is looked upon for his accomplished productions and passionate DJ sets, which secured appearances at London’s Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Space Ibiza, Pacha in Buenos Aires, and Air in Tokyo. Under his alias ‘Copy Paste Soul’, Jim’s sound fuses Garage, Drum & Bass and Techno, all with a heavy dose of Soul, that garnered support from DJs Annie Mac and Skream. After finding time to immerse himself back into the studio, the past few months have been a hive of activity, culminating in a string of new productions scheduled for release this year.
