Biography

A native of Sydney, Australia, pianist Rosemary Tuck was a student of John Winthier, Walter Hauzig, and Andrzej Esterhazy. With the assistance of the Australian-American Bicentennial Foundation, Tuck performed piano recitals in the United States, and continued her touring in Ireland, England, Denmark, France, Cyprus, New Zealand, and Australia. She has appeared at many international music festivals, including the Aarhus Festuge, the Wexford Festival, Liszt en Provence, and the Vendsyssel Festival. She has performed as a soloist with the Southbank Sinfonia, the English Chamber Orchestra, the ABC Sinfonia, and the Orchestra of the City of London. Tuck has championed the music of 19th century composers William Vincent Wallace and Carl Czerny, and performed their music with Richard Bonynge in recordings for Naxos. She also recorded two albums of solo piano works by Albert Ketèlbey for Marco Polo. She gave the inaugural concert for the William Vincent Wallace Millennium Plaza in Waterford, Ireland in 2001.
