Rod Hardy was born in Indianapolis, IN, with an avid interest and upbringing in music and sports. After completing Master's degree, he briefly entered corporate America before forming his own chain of successful companies. However, Rod experienced an eye-opening experience when his older brother was diagnosed with Covid-19 and spent three weeks in a coma. After waking up, Hardy’s brother encouraged him to be more intentional about his purpose in life. Hardy decided to follow his passion for music. When he picked-up the pen, the lyrics began to flow—much ado to his natural prowess for storytelling. His philosophy and approach to everything in life is deliberate, bold and honest. This, coupled with his passion to inspire, solidified this lane as his true calling. After a list of other singles throughout the year to set up his debut project, Rod released his EP “Perfect Timing” along with a music video in September. The timing really was perfect as the Ep charted on Apple Music & Itunes as high as #9. His follow up single “Greatness” ft Boosie Badazz continues that trajectory as it has charted as high as #30 for hip hop singles. Rod’s mantra “Still Loading” is a play on his fervent belief in being a constant information sponge and student of life. Taking in every moment knowing he is constantly getting better. With a talent reminiscent and inspired by storytellers like Jay -Z, Andre 3000, and Nipsey, Rod’s path toward greatness is reachable.
