“DEZii is short for Desert Eagle. As music is my protection and my weapon as well as my freedom and my wings.” – DEZii. DEZii is a singer/songwriter from the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Born Leah Rachel Skeete, DEZii has been singing for years in everything from school choirs, to church choirs, from recording studios to stages in Los Angeles, England, Nigeria, Barbados, Bali, and Singapore. DEZii has put on a concert every year since. She has since worked with several producers across T&T, such as Aaron Peters of Track 7 Music, Kitwana Israel of Advokit Productions, Samuel Jack, Neil Alexander of Sky Studios, Darryl Braxton, Mark Wright and Anson Soverall. In 2018, DEZii won a spot in MusicTT's Artist Portfolio Development Programme where she became a music ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago. She was then discovered by Thrive International who selected her to perform at their showcase in Bali; a creative exchange where she represented her country and moved to the island allowing her to perform at various events across Asia, including for a charity event, for one of Bali's Royal families and various shows in Singapore. DEZii, now signed to Thrive Talents has embarked on a fresh new international launch with over 30 songs under her belt and continuous writing, she is getting ready to release her first single My Heart's In and EP soon.
