Altamullan Road is a Cinematic Pop Band formed by two Finnish singer-songwriters Johanna Iivanainen ( distinguished solo and featuring artist for over two decades in the field of jazz and pop, a house band lead singer for 5 seasons in a mega popular National TV show SuomiLOVE ) and Johanna Kurkela ( singer in AURI, over a decade long career as a loved solo artist, vocalist in the award winning film score for “Tale of a Lake” Finnish Nature Documentary ). In the beginning of their friendship in 2009, the two Johannas soon noticed their mutual loves for favourite films and books ( such as Last of the Mohicans, Little House on the Prairie, the Contact, etc. ) and the twinlike connection of their souls and voices. In 2018 the two finally listed out their favourite songs, put together a show and headed out on a sold out tour in 21 cities. From that point on it was inevitable, a new chapter had begun, Altamullan Road was born and the two started working on their debut album together. The music of Altamullan Road is an intriguing gathering of different genres and emotions, intertwined together by the unique symbiotic connection and harmony of their magical voices.
