Deo Cruz is a songwriter from the Philippines. He's been writing songs since high school. He is now in his 40s. Songwriting has been a passion of his. His first attempt at publishing his creations was in 2009. He founded the band Crude Oz and released the self produced album, Straitjacket. After which, he quit his band and focused on life and family. He never stopped writing music though. In 2019, he released his songs to digital platforms. These songs included some old songs he wrote for Crude Oz as well as some new ones. In 2022, he began releasing songs under his own name, Deo Cruz. In January 2022, he released the song Kamukha, a pop rock song about love and moving on. In April 2022, he released the song Boracay. This song came about after he attended the Filscap Music Create Songwriting Workshop. This was his final project in the said workshop.
