Jules Le Boudon and Cristian Saavedra, seasoned DJs from Gothenburg, Sweden, unite their over 30 years of experience to lead the afro-Latin house scene. Their debut, 'EP1' in 2021, featured collaborations with Swedish artists like Rasha, Mr. Z, and Sara B, recorded at Saavedra Sound Studio. 2022 showcased their versatility with "Trichteza," a deep-house track with Brazilian vocals, and "Aché Pa Ti," rich in Yoruba lyrics. "Oye Mi Rumba," a collaboration with Cuban duo DJ Reitt & Shanara, blended Latin vocals with Latin-house beats. Their upcoming 2023 release, "Mirage" from Afronova Records, promises a captivating mix of North African, Indian, Latin, and African rhythms. Influenced by artists like Pablo Fierro, Black Coffee, Louie Vega, and others, Afronova's sound is an eclectic mix of global beats. Key to their live shows is percussionist Thiago Da Silva, from a famous Uruguayan Candombe family, adding a unique rhythm to the ensemble. Afronova aims to spread afro-Latin house music worldwide, connecting people through the universal language of rhythm and melody. Their vision extends beyond music, aiming to bridge cultural divides and celebrate diversity through their sound.
