Biography

Graduated from the Cherubini Conservatory of Florence, in piano, organ and composition. He also taught in this school. Marco is considered one of the most prominent figures in the Italian and European musical environment. He did not place limitations on his multiple artistic interests, ranging in different musical genres thanks to a multifaceted personality. He has played with important symphonic and chamber orchestras, both as a pianist and as a pianist / conductor including: Orchestra della Toscana, Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Florence Symphonietta, Chamber Orchestra Musici Mundi (Soloists of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino), Orchestra Bellini Theater of Catania, Symphony Orchestra of Malmoe (Sweden), Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Lecce, Symphony Orchestra of Bergen. He was awarded the Florence Lifetime Achievement Award, given to him in Palazzo Vecchio by the highest city authorities. In 2008 he was awarded the "Beato Angelico" prize given to Italian artists who have distinguished themselves in their business. He taught piano classes at the G. Rossini Conservatory of Pesaro and subsequently at the L. Cherubini Conservatory of Florence. Marco has been invited by the European Parliament in March 2014 on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Constitution of the European Community to play his program "Europa Mon Amour", a collection of the national anthems of all the countries of the European union reworked for piano.
