KNDÉ is an exciting singer-songwriter from London, who isn't afraid to fuse her classic Soul sound with modern electronic instruments. Her style is influenced by the broad spectrum of music she listened to growing up; from Pop, Soul, R'n'B and Hip Hop to Jazz, Blues but it wasn't until discovering the artist Sade and Lauryn Hill that KNDÉ started writing and singing her own songs. This passion for songwriting was later fuelled by a meeting with composer and arranger, Stephen Large (member of UK band Squeeze which resulted in KNDÉ writing ever more prolifically. This spurred KNDÉ into sending one of her songs to BBC Introducing who quickly picked it up and was featured on the Ian Lee, Nesta McGregor, Howard McCalla and Edward Adoo radio shows. KNDÉ's unmistakeable vocals came to the attention of Tony Award and 3 times Grammy nominee Melba Moore’s promoters, who asked KNDÉ to perform for Ms Moore. All of this really boosted KNDÉ’s confidence as a songwriter and since then hasn't looked back. A recent review described KNDÉ’s voice as “Dripping with melancholy.....; and as....,containing the raw unabashed ingredients of the blues”. Something you're sure to hear on her forth coming EP. 2021 has seen KNDÉ join UK artist Leonn on stage at the Isle of Wight Festival and have her single Just Friends feature on BBC Radio 6 Music Playlist by Tom Robinson and her single Always Be a Way feature on The Official Velvetiser Soundtrack HOTEL CHOCOLAT x Jake Gosling
